We are an organic dairy located in Creston BC.  We are milking approximately 80 cows, mostly Holsteins but with a few Guernseys and cross-breeds.  In the summer we intensively graze all cows from young stock to milking cows on pasture located on the farm, and in the winter we feed in the barn.  All feed fed on the farm is produced on the farm. We are also involved in on farm production.  We are making an artisan raw milk cheese.  For more information about our operation visit www.kootenayalpinecheese.com We are looking for an employee who works well on their own but is also able to work with others, is able to make decisions on their own, preferably has experience on a farm working with large animals and equipment.  Main jobs in winter months would include mixing and loading feed, scraping, bedding and doing health management.  Main jobs in the summer would be all types of field work from seeding to harvesting, mixing and loading feed, moving irrigation and pasture management. As well other opportunities for learning other aspects of the farm will be available.
